Detailed description
The palace on the banks of the Neva River was bought for Grand Duke Pavel Alexandrovich in 1887 from Baron A. L. Stieglitz. The palace was built in 1859-1862 by architect A.I.Krakau. The architectural style of the building combines the features of the Italian Renaissance and Baroque. The main facade is decorated with a two-column portico, the windows are framed with sandalwood, the wall ends with a frieze decorated with stucco. The walls are plastered with imitation hewn stone.
