Detailed description

The Naryshkin-Shuvalov Palace is an architectural monument of the 19th century in St. Petersburg. On the corner of Fontanka Embankment and Italianskaya Street. The palace is typical of an eclectic architectural period combining elements of early classicism and neo-Renaissance. The existing palace in its current form was built in several stages. On the left side of the building is a house built by the Vorontsov family in 1780, designed by an unknown architect. The house to the left of the old building was expanded in 1821-1922 by the new owner D.L. Naryshkin.
