Vosstaniya Square

Vosstaniya Square is located in the center of St. Petersburg, between Nevsky and Ligovsky Avenues. The buildings of important transport hubs of the city are located on Vosstaniya Square: the Ploshchad Vosstaniya metro station, the bus station and the Moskovsky railway station. Shopping and entertainment centers, cafes and restaurants, hotels and office buildings are also located on the square. In the center of the square, a monument in honor of the Decembrist Uprising of 1825 rises high. Vosstaniya Square is one of the main landmarks of the city and is very popular among tourists and locals. Thousands of people come to the square every day to meet friends, have lunch or visit museums and shopping malls.
