Apartment house Essen-Stenbock-Fermora

The construction of the building took place from 1847 to 1857. From the very beginning, it was planned to open a hotel in the house, on the square at the beginning of the railway connection of the Nikolaevsky railway station. Over the years, the apartment building has repeatedly changed its name and owners, and has been rebuilt: the fifth and sixth floors of the main building, the floor above the winter garden, and the central part of the facade have been changed several times. Nowadays, the building is an integral part of the architectural ensemble of the historical buildings of Vosstaniya Square. The Oktyabrskaya Hotel is located in the building.
