The Museum of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg is located in the church building, built at the end of the 18th century and rebuilt at the end of the 19th century by architect Karl Verbitsky, which is part of the classical ensemble of the Holy Gates leading to the Smolenskoye Cemetery. There is also a chapel over the grave of Saint Xenia, and hundreds of pilgrims come here every day, believing in the words inscribed on it. The exhibition tells about the life of Blessed Xenia and the history of her veneration in the church, as well as informs about the historical background of the late 18th century and the architecture of St. Petersburg, including the construction of the Church of the Icon of the Virgin and the chapel of Blessed Xenia at Smolensky Cemetery.
