Golliday 's Apartment House
Detailed description
The building was built in 1790. At the very beginning of the 1800s, Julien Seppi, the owner of the Hotel du Nord, bought the building. The next owner of the house was Georg Holliday, a merchant of the first guild, who leased it in 1817 to the Directorate of theaters to accommodate the actors of the Bolshoi Kamenny (Mariinsky) Theater troupe. In the 1880s, the house became seriously dilapidated and was reconstructed.
