The building of the Chinese theater with a painting
Detailed description
The painted Chinese theater building was built in 1896 at the expense of the Chinese merchant Cheng Shanli. The building is made of brick with two floors. Plays and other works were performed in the theater almost all year round. The theater closed in the late 1930s. The facade of the building is decorated by local artists — it has an image in the Chinese art direction. The street art is done in bright colors, and the main character of the drawing is a man holding a rope around a dragon's neck.
