Boiler room of the Brusnitsyn Tannery
Detailed description
The boiler house of the Brusnitsyn Tannery traces its history back to the middle of the 19th century. In 1847, construction began on the red brick production buildings of the plant, as well as the boiler house, which have survived to our time. By the end of the 19th century, the tannery had become the largest in St. Petersburg. In Soviet times, the plant was nationalized, and it became known as the Radishchev Plant. After perestroika, the factory was closed, and it was empty for 20 years. A few years ago, the entire territory of the former factory was restored and became a public space of the city.
