Railway station

In 1996, the construction of a new train station complex began. In 1999, the distribution hall was opened. At the same time, a tunnel for pedestrians was put into operation. Its length is more than 240 meters. The new station houses a lobby, a waiting room, and a cultural center with a video room. The architectural ensemble of glass and concrete was designed by Yu.V. Khramov. The height of the building is 101 meters. It ranks first among the heights of railway stations. A balcony was installed around the dome of the station building. It is an observation deck with a view of the city.
