The house of Countess A.G. Laval

The house of Countess A.G. Laval is located opposite the Menshikov Palace. The main facade of the mansion, facing the embankment, was decorated with ten columns, equal in height to the second and third floors. The colonnade was completed with a stepped attic. Windows with triangular pediments were placed on the extreme facades. Sculptural panels on mythological themes were placed above them. The exact proportions of the facades, sculptures and columns determine the artistic effect in the composition.
