Platonov Residential Building
Detailed description
The Platonov apartment building was not only the family's place of residence, but was also considered a business shopping center. At the end of the 19th century, the house was purchased from the Konovalov merchants and was immediately rebuilt. The first floor was converted into retail space. A large doorway with a semicircular end and glass doors was cut through. A third floor was built around the entire perimeter of the building. The wings of the building were expanded and domes were installed above them. The living area had ten rooms, a kitchen with Russian and Dutch stoves. And in 1902, the sons of the fisherman I.Platonov opened a trading house on the ground floor.
