Detailed description

In the 35th year of the 19th century, permission was obtained for the construction of the Holy Trinity Cathedral. In the 1840s, the right side chapel of the church was consecrated in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The left side chapel was dedicated on January 8, 1841, in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and on May 31, 1842, the Cold Church in the name of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity was consecrated. The church became a parish church. In 1863, a bell weighing 333 pounds was cast for the temple. The temple was painted in 1880. During the entire period from 1865 to 1886, major repairs were carried out according to the project of the provincial engineer Dementiev. In Soviet times, the bell tower and part of the cathedral were destroyed. By the end of the 40s, a cinema was organized in the cathedral building. The first historical museum was established here in the late 50s and early 60s. It is currently an active church of the Diocese of Birsk, where liturgies are regularly held.
