Church of the Icon of the Mother of God of All the Sorrowful Joy in Surgut

In January 2000, Archbishop Dimitri of Tobolsk and Tyumen blessed the establishment of the community and the construction of the temple. With the blessing of Bishop Dimitri, a Cross and a stone were consecrated, priest Peter Egorov was appointed to perform the duties of rector of the church, and Lyubov Vasilyevna Veremeeva was appointed head of the parish. After all the preparatory work was carried out, the construction of the temple began in April 2001. The first prayer service was held in the church on September 30, 2003.
