The house was built in 1901 by Captain I.L. Yakubovsky. It is a two-storey rectangular brick house. It is small, located on the slope of Tigrovaya Sopka, at the end of the block. The facade of the building has a simple decoration of rows of bricks, overlapping stripes, pilasters and cornices. The Memorial House Museum is the last residence of Vladimir Konstantinovich Arsenyev, an outstanding Russian writer, local historian and travel researcher who made a significant contribution to the development of the Far East in the period from 1928 to 1930, and then died.
