Esherov Lane
Detailed description
Not far from Chistye Prudy, between 2 houses, there is a narrow passage resembling the street of a medieval European town. It has an optical effect, because when looking at the alley from one side, it seems that it narrows, when viewed from the other side, the buildings between which it passes stand parallel. Hence the name of the lane in honor of the famous Dutch optical illusionist Maurits Cornelis Escher. The metal openwork tables, chairs and a bird cage installed here also give the status of an attraction.
