The house was built at the end of the 19th century at the expense of merchant Peter Romanovich Maximov. The architectural style was defined as "classicism". The building is located near the monument to Yu.A. Zhdanov. The building is a two-storey red brick building. Currently, the administration of the Rostov State Medical University is located in the building. Nearby are the cathedral mosque, the Building of the city barracks and the Mansion of N.E. Paramonov.
