Detailed description
In 1881, Emperor Alexander was mortally wounded. This event served as the site of the temple's construction. The church contains nine chapters and accommodates 1,600 parishioners. The height of the building is 81 meters. The construction of the temple lasted 24 years. The consecration took place in 1907. The temple is made in the Russian-Byzantine style. The facades are granite, with marble and glazed brick. Rich exterior decor: curly platbands and kokoshniks, belts and tiles. The domes are gilded and enameled with copper sheets. The roofs of the tents and porches are covered with colorful tiles.
