Old Believers Oratory
Detailed description
The Old Believers' chapel is a historical and cultural monument of the Russian Orthodox Church. This chapel was built in the 18th century, when Old Believer teachings began to spread in Russia, which were unrecognized church dogmas. The chapel on Brothers Zhabrov Street is one of the few preserved Old Believer churches in Tula. The building was restored in the 1990s and has almost completely preserved its original architecture and interior.
