The mansion of K.P. Bakhrushin
Detailed description
In 1895-1896, K.K. Gippius was chosen by the Bakhrushin family as a "house architect" to rebuild the house for Konstantin Petrovich in an eclectic style. The facades were decorated with bright blue paint and decorated with valuable snow-white stucco decoration, and the central front entrance was complemented by an entrance hall and a balcony with flowerpots on the sides. The center of the mansion is hung with a pediment, the monogram of the owner and the date of the mansion's creation. The house has a large front garden with a flower garden. The interior decoration was no less unique, with a marble staircase, lush stucco and fireplaces - and all these elegant details have survived to this day. Konstantin Petrovich worked and was actively involved in charity and social activities. The landlord married Natalia Petrovna, the daughter of the famous "Moscow vodka king" P. A. Smirnov. On the master's birthday, February 2nd, a large ball was held in the mansion, the house was illuminated with lights, and the streets were lined with carriages. However, after the revolution, the owners were evicted from the mansion, and from 1933 to the present, the Moscow City Prosecutor's Office occupies the entire estate.
