Novo-Ekaterininskaya Hospital
Detailed description
In 1776, a manor house was built for Prince Sergei Gagarin. Architect Matvey Kazakov was responsible for the project. In the nineteenth century, the English Club was located here. Since 1833, the building has been occupied by the Novo-Catherine Hospital. The central part of the building consists of three floors and is crowned with twelve columns. They are arranged in a row along the main facade. The second floor has a suite layout. An outbuilding was added to the left side of the house. The building is rectangular in plan. During the restoration, the white-stone window sills, cornices between the floors, and the stucco portico of the facade were restored. The coat of arms of the Russian Empire was restored, previously in its place was the coat of arms of the USSR.
