Aksenov House
Detailed description
The Aksenov House was built at the end of the 18th century. This is the oldest building on this lane. Between 1838 and 1864, the facade was decorated with fine stucco, platbands of fine plaster profile, rustication on the second floor. And in 1883, according to the project of P. D. Sokolov, a two-story wing was added to the building. A stone fence with a gate has been preserved. There is a large carriage house on the east side of the courtyard. The house is named after the Aksenov family, bought in 1810 by the Toropetsky merchant Dmitry Petrovich Aksenov. Dmitry Petrovich had four sons. The eldest of them, Vasily, lived all his life in this estate, was a deputy, having inherited his father's business, worked for Dmitry Aksenov and Sons, and was engaged in the sale of manufactured goods. After Vasily's death, the company went bankrupt, and in 1894 Anastasia Sergeevna Filatieva, the wife of a Moscow merchant, became the owner of the estate. Further, already in Soviet times, until 1973, the estate was used as an infectious diseases hospital. And since 1973, the 14th Ambulance substation has been located here.
