Mansion of A.F. Eventiev
Detailed description
Alexander Faddeevich, a hereditary honorary citizen of St. Petersburg, was the owner of a brick factory and a large landlord. His son, Mikhail Alexandrovich Eventiev, was the architect of numerous buildings in St. Petersburg, including the apartment building on Mokhovaya Street and the Obvodny Canal. By order of his father, he began designing a mansion, and in 1989 the city authorities of St. Petersburg approved the construction of a two-story mansion. The facade of the mansion was completed in 1899 in an eclectic style with neo-Renaissance motifs. The porch is decorated with columns, and the entrance is accentuated by a round window with stucco ornaments. A lion mask is sculpted above the entrance portal of the lobby.
