The oldest oak in St. Petersburg
Detailed description
The 38-meter-high oak tree from the reign of Peter the Great is still alive and growing. The oldest trees in St. Petersburg were identified during the restoration of the Summer Garden two years ago. At the same time, its green space was renovated and rejuvenated. Each tree was carefully examined in an attempt to preserve as many of St. Petersburg's lush "long-lived trees" as possible.
