V.A. Schroeter's own house
Detailed description
Viktor Alexandrovich Schroeter, was an architect and a leading master of the brick style. Therefore, this house was built and decorated almost entirely of shaped bricks, without the use of any plaster with Gothic elements. On the top floor of the building there were once workshops for artists with huge windows. Gothic bay windows also added a lot of light to the rooms of the house. Residential apartments were located on four floors, and retail areas were located in the basement. The building was built in 1894. The building is a monument of architecture and urban planning of Federal significance, it is kept in good condition and is used as a residential building.
