Church of the Holy Trinity
Detailed description
The church, built in the seventeenth century with the money of the merchant Nikitnikov, is located within walking distance from Ilyinsky Square. It has a main quad with paired columns and an elegant slide decorated with kokoshniks. At the top of the church there are tall drums with columns and an arched belt, which give the structure an exquisite look. The church was built on a high ground floor so that it could be seen from afar. Inside the church there are chapels dedicated to Saint Nicholas, the Great Martyr Nikita, John the Theologian and the Georgian Mother of God. In addition, there is a tent bell tower and a tent above the porch on the territory of the temple.
