Detailed description
The temple was founded in 1826 by His Royal Highness Prince Maha Sakdipolsep, son of King Rama III, on Rattanakosin Island in Bangkok, just outside the old city walls on Phra Sumen Road. The complex consists of elaborately carved door arches and windows with gilded moldings. The pediment is decorated with glazed ceramics, which indicates a strong influence of Chinese architecture. There are several rare and highly revered Buddha statues here
