Phra Sumen Fort
Detailed description
Fourteen forts were built during the reign of King Rama I to protect the borders of the Old City, but most of them have disappeared over the years. In Bangkok, only the Phra Sumen Fort and the Mahakhan Fort were preserved. This pale white concrete fort with crenellated walls is located in the quiet Xuan Santichaiparkran Park, which stretches along the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
