Temple of the Emerald Buddha

The Buddhist temple, which is located in the very center of Bangkok, next to the Grand Palace and is the most revered place in Thailand. The temple is so called because inside there is a statue of the "Emerald Buddha", which is 66 centimeters high. The statue is made of solid jadeite and dates back to the 15th century. There are bronze lions outside the temple.
