Detailed description

The house was built for the merchant Vasily Dmitrievich Nosov in the 19th and early 20th century. The architects reconstructed the exterior and interior of the house. The Russian artist M. Dobuzhinsky painted the grand staircase from October 1912 to April 1913. He created original works of art. An art and literary salon was set up in the house, where plays by Alexei Tolstoy and Mikhail Kuzmin were staged.
