The mansion of N.L. Benoit
Detailed description
The mansion of N.L. Benois was built from 1848 to 1849. The building was built in the architectural style of neoclassicism. A light grey stone was specially brought from Sweden for the facade of the building. It is called talcochlorite. The walls were highlighted with decorative details, colonnades and sculptures. The main entrance to the courtyard was decorated with Doric columns made of red granite. The basement of the building was lined with the same material. The buildings are connected by a system of courtyards.
