Glory Square
Detailed description
Together with Samara Square and Victory Square, Glory Square formed a single architectural ensemble. The Monument of Glory, which is a symbol of Samara, is located on the square. The monument was built in honor of the workforce of the Samara aviation industry, who performed their labor during the war years. The square is one of the city's observation points, offering panoramic views of the Volga River and the right bank of the river. In 2015, the reconstruction of the square began. At the initiative of the governor, a walled monument "Pride, Honor and Glory of the Samara Region" was erected on the slope of the square on the Volga side. Subsequently, the observatory was redesigned.
