Historical bakery sign

In 2015, on the facade of one of the buildings located on Prechistenka Street, they found the sign of a bakery that worked in this house in the thirties of the XX century. The bakery was owned by A. T. Chuev and the Sobolev brothers. The signboard, which was in poor condition, needed urgent restoration. In the summer of 2017, restoration work was carried out. The restorers revealed another secret of the old sign: an autograph of the artist who created the sign was found right under the inscription. It turned out to be N. Maximov.
