Church of the Icon of the Mother of God the Sign in Aksinino
Detailed description
An Orthodox church in the northern part of Moscow. It belongs to the Diocese of the Sign of Moscow. The first wooden church in the village of Aksinino was built in 1708 at the expense of Prince Mikhail Golitsyn. It was built on an oak foundation with a pine log cabin, a dining room and a bell tower with a parapet roof. The bell tower was equipped with six bells. The iconostasis of the temple was four-tiered, gilded, and the temple icon - the Sign of the Virgin - was in a silver case decorated with large and small pearls.
