Medical unit of the Kalinin Plant
Detailed description
The medical department of the Kalinin Plant was built in 1957 in the style of Stalinist neoclassicism. Residents often call it the "Palace of Medicine", it has three floors, an eight-column porch, stucco molding and bay windows on the facade - all in the best traditions of Stalinist neoclassicism. Next to it is a garden with more than 100 trees and shrubs; patients were treated here for more than half a century, from 1957 to 2011. There was a hospital, a polyclinic and an X-ray room. Subsequently, the building was auctioned off due to the debts of the factory. Since then, according to local residents, the facility has nothing to do with healthcare. The premises were leased to various companies for small-scale production and storage.
