I.I. Dernov's apartment house
Detailed description
The apartment building was built from 1903 to 1905 by architect Mikhail Nikolaevich Kondratiev, in which V. lived. And Ivanov is a Russian poet, philosopher, playwright, and an authoritative figure of the Silver Age. This is a large five-storey house with decorative facades in the style of eclecticism and Art Nouveau. In the corner part of the house, at the intersection of Tavrichesky and Tverskaya streets, there is a cylindrical tower with five-storey buildings extending along its edges.
The house of I.I. Dernov has great historical value and is an important architectural monument of St. Petersburg. Many famous writers, philosophers and playwrights, such as Anna Akhmatova, Alexander Blok and Ivan Bunin, visited this house, which only adds to its importance as a cultural and historical monument.
At the moment, I.I. Dernov's house has become residential, it houses a kindergarten and administrative offices.
