Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos in Taininsky
Detailed description
The monument of Moscow architecture of the 17th century, the five-domed temple on the basement, is known for its remarkable belfries at the corners of the western two-aisled porch. It was included in the ensemble of the tsar's palace on the road to the Trinity-Sergius Monastery in the XVII-XVIII centuries. Today, the basement houses the throne of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia, and the main church houses the chapels of Ilyinsky, Zachariah and Elizabeth. In 1929, the temple was closed, but in 1989 it was reopened and renovated.
