Saket Temple
Detailed description
Saket Temple is a massive structure built on top of a high hill in the old city of Bangkok, has a long and troubled history. Initially, the temple was built by King Rama III, but the first attempt to create a temple failed – the chedi collapsed due to the soft ground and construction stopped. The modern temple was built by Kings Rama the fourth and fifth. A staircase leads to the temple, which consists of 300 steps.
