A.S. Popov Radio Museum
Detailed description
The museum was opened in 1986 in the house where the Russian inventor Popov lived while studying at the seminary in 1871-1873. The 19th century memorial hall features personal items and portraits of the Popov family. The museum also features a biography of Alexander Popov. These are his childhood, the years he spent in the Urals, his studies in Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg, and the inventions that changed the course of technical world history. The most famous of them is the Popov device, which opened a new era of radio on May 7, 1895.
