Lilac Garden
Detailed description
The Lilac Garden is located in Sokolniki Park in Moscow. The garden was founded in 1958. The area of the entire territory was 1.34 hectares. Sculptor B. Machkov donated several of his works to the park, all of them dedicated to love and motherhood.
The garden was renovated in 2019. The specialists carried out their work taking into account historical and cultural research. The garden space has been made more comfortable, as well as its importance to the park and its beauty have been preserved.
The garden is divided into parts: an entrance area, a family recreation area, a grass recreation area and an art space area. Sixteen trees and three hundred and twenty-seven shrub trees were planted in the garden. A special automatic watering system was made for the lilac bushes.
