Shelter named after Dr. F.P.Haaz for young people of the Workhouse and the House of Diligence

The orphanage was established in 1913. The shelter building is part of the ensemble of the Sokolniki department of the city workhouse and the house of diligence. During the orphanage's existence until 1936, more than 2,000 children lived in it. After the shelter was closed, at various times the building housed communal apartments, a boarding school of the Mikaelian State Educational Institution of Higher Education No. 30, and a workhouse at the factory. Only one building of the orphanage has survived to our time. It functioned until 2003, and is now in an abandoned state.
