House of Honorary citizen A.N. Shchelokov, mid-XIX century
Detailed description
The exact time of construction is unknown, presumably it was erected in the 1840s. Earlier, there was a burnt-out two-story house on this site, which in 1852 the honorary citizen A.N. Shchelokov decided to restore. Architecturally, it is a brick building with two floors in the spirit of eclecticism with features of classicism. There were twelve windows on the facade to the front and nine to the courtyard. The facade is divided between the floors by cornice belts. The windows are decorated with profiled architraves. A decorated cornice completes the building. In addition to the house, there was another one-story brick house in the courtyard, an outbuilding, a carriage house and a stable. In the early 1880s, the estate was divided into two plots, the owners of which carried out new alterations until 1918. In 1923, all the houses were municipalized.
