House of Specialists
Detailed description
The construction of the architectural structure lasted two years and was completed in 1936. The house was built in the constructivist style, designed by architect Alexander Polev. The apartments reflect the controversial social changes of the early 1930s and were built for the creative elite, with each apartment designed individually for each of the future tenants. Each apartment had a maid's room next to the kitchen. Twelve residential plots represent an interesting urban planning approach to solving the problem of building an entire city block, three complex facades form the buildings of neighboring streets. The design of the corner window openings is imitated by a pier hidden behind the window frames.
