Merchant Matvey Chak 'ovsky 's House
Detailed description
A monument of urban planning and architecture of regional importance, subject to state protection. The building was built in 1902 according to the design of architect Georgy Moshkov in the Russian style. Initially, the house was designed and constructed as a hotel, the first floor was occupied by shops. A pre-revolutionary hardware advertisement has been preserved in the archway to the courtyard. The house is a three-storey building made of red ceramic brick masonry. The facade is decorated with risalites and arched architraves.
The building underwent major repairs in the last century, and the facade restoration work has recently been completed.
