Egorov-Andreev Apartment house
Detailed description
The building was built in 1913-1914 in the style of modernized neoclassicism. The original customers of the building were the Matveev merchants (Samara "shoe kings"), but soon they handed it over to the Samara merchant Mikhail Egorov-Andreev. The first floor was mainly used for retail space, while the second and third floors were rented out. During the Soviet years, the Samara Shopping Mall was located in this building, as can be seen from the sign. It is currently in a state of disrepair. But the decorative elements on the facade have been preserved, which attract attention: images of women's figures above the windows of the second floor, wrought-iron railings on balconies, green tiles, moldings and wreaths. An image of an eagle has been partially preserved on top of the house.
