The wing of the Meltzer mansion
Detailed description
The wing is part of the Baba Yaga House complex. It was built in 1906 by Roman Fedorovich Meltzer, a true master of St. Petersburg Art Nouveau. This artist and architect was invited to the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. Upon his return, his career at the court began, the apogee of which can be called his appointment as an architect of the Highest Court. Meltzer built the whole complex for himself. In 1916, everything passed into the possession of his brother.
