House of the Red Army
Detailed description
In 1930, by order of the Red Army command, a unique complex of buildings occupying an entire block was designed and erected. Architecturally, the building is designed in the spirit of constructivism. The complex consists of buildings with increasing number of floors and laconic facades. The author successfully beat the terrain of the site: a stylobate, terracing, retaining walls, and staircases were created. The tall tower is topped with a clock and a tall flagpole, as well as highlighted by a row of stained glass windows in the corners.
