Detailed description

In 1903, a house church was built on the second floor of the Shikhobalov almshouse. The church had a separate entrance from Uralskaya Street, which was decorated with a bay window. The walls of the church were decorated with painted fragments from the life of Seraphim of Sarov, made by the artist I. V. Belousov. However, in 1917 the almshouse and the church were closed, and since 1918 a school for the education of children with mental disorders was opened in the building. The interior murals were painted over in this regard. In the late 1990s, the church was returned to the faithful, and its restoration process began. Architect Yu. I. Kharitonov completed a project to restore the facade of the church. In 2010, worship was resumed, and restoration of the wall and ceiling paintings began. Also, a medical office was opened at the church, where elderly parishioners receive assistance.
