House of A.N. Vasiliev
Detailed description
The building dates from 1912-1913. The construction order from Alexander Nikolaevich Vasiliev, honorary collegiate registrar, was received by technical engineer Grigory Ivanovich Kotenkov. Initially, the house was planned to become profitable, as the layout of the apartments was of a sectional type, there were kitchens and sanitary facilities. In the front building there were luxurious "lordly" apartments with their own access to the stairs, and then three-bedroom apartments along the corridors. The architect was able to build a classic example of a house in the Art Nouveau period using neoclassical elements. From the outside, on the facade of the building, the decoration in the form of unglazed yellow bricks immediately catches the eye, there is stucco molding, the use of keystone for window openings and a hand-forged balcony on the top floor.
