Detailed description
A decision was made in 1831 to build a moving house in the Narva part of St. Petersburg. The building was designed by architect Andrey Ivanovich Stackenschneider and built in 1834-1837. Initially, the purpose of the building was residential and was intended to house soldiers of the Narva unit. However, already in 1842, the building was transferred to the fire station.
