Russian Museum of Photography
Detailed description
The Russian Museum of Photography is located in a historic building of the nineteenth century. Famous photographers A.O. Karelin and M.P. Dmitriev worked here. The architect of the building is considered to be I.E. Efimov. In 1950, the building was subjected to a fire. After the renovation work, the window openings were converted into large storefronts. The facade was replaced with a wooden one, plastered with profiled architraves. The first floor of the building was treated with plank rustication with imitation keystones. The windows are made with alternating architraves and sandriks. The entrance to the museum is decorated with a metal onion canopy.
